Monty's Soil Conditioner Applications based on need: After soil testing, apply 64 to 128 ounces per acre in a suggested 15 to 20 gallons of water. This application can be made early spring, prior to planting or late fall, after harvest.

In-Season Applications

Good – Any one of the following applications: Apply 24 oz. of Monty's 4-15-12 directly to the seed or in row at planting. Apply 24 ounces per acre of Monty's 8-16-8 in 15 gallons of water, tank-mixed with your herbicide pass.

Better – Any two of the following applications: Apply 24 oz. of Monty's 4-15-12 directly to the seed or in row at planting. Apply 24 oz. per acre of Monty's 8-16-8 in 15 gallons of water, tank-mixed with your herbicide pass. Apply 24 oz. per acre of Monty's 2-15-15 in 15 gallons of water, foliar applied at tassel stage.

Best – All three of the following applications: Apply 24 oz. of Monty's 4-15-12 directly to the seed or in row at planting. Apply 24 oz. per acre of Monty's 8-16-8 in 15 gallons of water, tank-mixed with your herbicide pass. Apply 24 oz. per acre of Monty's 2-15-15 in 15 gallons of water, foliar applied at tassel stage.

Applications of Monty's 8-16-8 can be tank mixed with most herbicide applications to enhance the development of root structure, ear, and leaf size. Applications of 2-15-15 made at VT (tassel) should enhance kernel size, test weight, ear fill, and dry down. This application can be made with a Hi-Boy, aerial, or irrigated application (check with dealer for aerial or irrigated rates.)

Monty's Plant Food is a liquid fertilizer that is recommended as a supplement to your current fertilizer program. It is best applied to the seed or plant directly. Monty's is not recommended to replace the nutrients typically added to the soil. We suggest taking a soil sample and having a qualified independent lab analyze the samples to determine the nutrient levels in your soils and then follow recommended applications to ensure proper nutritional levels.

Monty's products are designed specifically for fertility enhancement purposes. When mixing with other farm chemicals it is suggested to tank mix Monty's only after diluting the pesticide according to label directions. When tank mixing any Monty's products with other farm chemicals, always read and follow the label directions of the pesticide you are considering.

Monty's fertility products are compatible with many farm chemicals and may improve the efficacy of some pesticide applications but Monty's does not guarantee it to do so. Monty's suggests administering a jar test and a strip test before applying Monty's as a tank mix. Knowing the chemical’s mode of action (blocks photosynthesis) or metal content (copper based) will help determine the compatibility with Monty's. Please call 1-800-978-6342 with any questions.
