Water Compatibility and Monty’s

Because water is the largest element in an application of Monty’s it is important to monitor the source of water to maintain compatibility and ensure proper dispersal on your crops. Consider the following before mixing Monty’s with your water source.

  • When using Monty’s for the first time and your normal water pH level is 8.0 or higher a jar test should be conducted. To ensure a good mixture it may be helpful to lower the level by adding an acidic product such as vinegar.

  • If your water source comes from a well or pond, check for sediment in a jar test as the humic substance of Monty’s will hold on to heavy metals such as arsenic and this could create problems in filters on your equipment.

  • It is possible that water components are different from one area to another so multiple test should be conducted with getting multiple sources of water.
