We recommend taking a complete soil test to determine nutrients in the soil and making needed amendments based on your soil test. All application recommendations are based on dilution in a minimum of 15 gallons of water per acre unless otherwise specified. The applications are recommended as a supplement to your current fertility program.

Monty’s Pop-Up programs have been developed to work with your current fertility program to provide for quick germination and early season vigor for most crops. By providing specific nutrients needed for emergence and root growth, you can help your crops deal with stresses associated with early development even in cool, damp conditions.

Row Crops (Corn, Soybeans, Wheat, Peanuts, Cotton)

• Option 1: Apply 32 ounces per acre of Monty’s 4-15-12 plus 32 ounces per acre of Monty’s Liquid Carbon* in the row, on the seed, at planting.
• Option 2: If you are unable to apply the product directly in the row, then broadcast 32 ounces per acre of Monty’s 4-15-12 plus 64 ounces per acre of Monty’s Liquid Carbon* as a tank mix with your pre-plant herbicide/burndown application.

Forage Crops (Alfalfa, Hay Crops and Pastures)

At seeding, apply 32 ounces per acre of Monty’s 4-15-12 plus 32 ounces per acre of Monty’s Liquid Carbon.* This application may be made with or without a pre-plant herbicide treatment.

Tobacco

For Greenhouse Application

• Seeding: Use 32 ounces of Monty’s Liquid Carbon* per 1000 gallons of water in float beds to promote germination and root development.
• Growth and Maintenance: Apply 2 ounces of Monty’s 2-15-15 per gallon of water over-the-top as often as needed to promote and manage growth.

For Transplant Application: Combine 32 ounces per acre of Monty’s 8-16-8 plus 64 ounces per acre of Monty’s Liquid Carbon* with most traditional transplant chemicals in your setter barrel at planting.

When tank mixing any Monty’s product, always read and follow label directions of any chemicals you are considering. While Monty’s tank-mix applications are suitable for many farm chemicals, we recommend conducting a jar test and a strip test to insure compatibility. Monty’s products are designed specifically for foliar feeding applications; for plant growth, fertility and soil conditioning purposes. Monty’s fertility products cannot be guaranteed or claim to provide better results when used in conjunction with other farm chemicals.
