How to Use - Monty's Ready Reference Guide

 

Unless otherwise noted, all applications rates should be applied with a minimum of 15 gallons of water per acre.For detailed instructions refer to the individual crop sheets for each crop

CORN

  •  Pop Up Program
    • Option 1: Apply 32 oz/a of 4-15-12 plus 32 oz/a of Liquid Carbon* in the row on the seed.
    • Option 2: Broadcast 32 oz/a of 4-15-12 plus 64 oz/a of Liquid Carbon* applied with pre-plant herbicide.
  • Foliar Program: Apply 24 oz/a of 8-16-8 at V3-V7 stage.

Repeat the Above Foliar Program at V6-V10 Stage. Apply with your post-applied herbicide application.

SOYBEANS

  • Pop Up Program
    • Option 1: Apply 32 oz/a of 4-15-12 plus 32 oz/a of Liquid Carbon* in the row on the seed.
    • Option 2: Broadcast 32 oz/a of 4-15-12 plus 64 oz/a of Liquid Carbon* applied with pre-plant herbicide.
  • Foliar Program: Apply 24 oz/a of 4-15-12 at 3rd trifoliate stage or with post/chemical.
  • Foliar Program at Bloom Stage: Apply 24 oz/a of 2-15-15 with fungicide.

WHEAT

  • Pop Up Program

    • Option 1: Apply 32 oz/a of 4-15-12 plus 32 oz/a of Liquid Carbon* in the row on the seed.
    • Option 2: Broadcast 32 oz/a of 4-15-12 plus 64 oz/a of Liquid Carbon* applied with pre-plant herbicide.
  • At Planting: Apply 32 oz/a of 4-15-12 plus 64 oz/a of Liquid Carbon* applied with or without herbicide
  • Tillering: Apply 24 oz/a of 8-16-8 with herbicide or insecticide.

                        Try adding 32 oz/a of Liquid Carbon to your Liquid Nitrogen application to reduce "Burn" effect on leaf tissue.

  • Foliar Fungicide Timing: Apply 24 oz/a of 2-15-15 at Flag Leag, Boot, or Heading tank-mixed with your fungicide pass

FORAGE

  • At Seeding: Apply 32 oz/a of 4-15-12 plus 64 oz/a of Liquid Carbon* with or without herbicide.
  • After First Cutting: Allow 3 to 5 inches re-growth, then apply 24 oz/a of 8-16-8 plus 32 oz/a of Liquid Carbon*.
  • After Each Cutting Repeat the Above Application: reducing Liquid Carbon* from 32 oz/a to 16 oz/a.
  • Winterization: Apply 24 oz/a of 2-15-15 and 32 oz/a of Liquid Carbon* to winterize the crop.

TOBACCO

  • Greenhouse: Foliar Apply 2 oz/gal of water over the top as often as needed to control rate of growth.
  • Transplant: 24 oz/a of 8-16-8 in the SETTER BARREL plus 64 oz/a of Liquid Carbon* plus chemicals.
  • Lay by: 32 oz/a 8-16-8 plus 16 oz/a of Liquid Carbon* plus any insecticide or herbicide.
  • Topping: 24 oz/a of 2-15-15 plus 16 oz/a of Liquid Carbon* apply with sucker control product.
  • Flue Cured Tobacco: Continue topping application into the 2nd, 4th, and even 6th applications.

 

Additional Considerations:

  • Consider applying 8-16 oz/a of Liquid Carbon* during any foliar plant food application.
  • Monty’s Plant Food may be applied during any crop stress period.
  • Liquid Carbon* may be applied at any time, will not harm foliage.
  • Consider applying Calcium Plus* with any foliar application to stimulate plant .
  • Monty’s Plant Food is pH neutral product, “no burn.”
  • Monty’s Products mix well with most all chemicals, no residues in containers.
  • Monty’s Products have low application rates, less storage.
  • Monty’s Products are safe, 100% available to the plant, Liquid Carbon is organic.
  • Monty’s Products are non-corrosive.
  • Monty’s Products are a “Management Tool” in any cropping system.

When tank mixing any Monty’s product, always read and follow label directions of any chemicals you are considering. While Monty’s tank-mix applications are suitable for many farm chemicals, we recommend conducting a jar test and a strip test to insure compatibility.
