International Research Scientist & Technical Manager Joins Monty’s Team

Monty’s Plant Food Company is pleased to announce Dr. Kwasi Glover as its Global Research Scientist and Technical Manager. The position is new for Monty’s and will allow the company to expand its global research and development efforts focused on its activated humic technologies and microbial products.

Dr. Glover has been an international consultant for Monty’s for over 20 months. Dr. Glover has relocated to Louisville, Kentucky to take on this full time position based out of Monty’s Plant Food Company’s headquarters.

PicDr. Glover brings vast experience in sustainable agricultural projects including biomass systems. These systems convert biomass to gas and other energy sources through aerobic or anaerobic digestion and converting by-products for fertilization and soil remediation. In his new role, Dr. Glover will support Monty’s research ventures including field trials, product evaluation and commercial optimization. He will also work closely with Monty’s lead humic research scientist, Dr. Alexander Shulgin, on the development and validation of new humic-based products.

Dr. Glover had a strong desire to work for Monty’s because of Monty’s emphasis on sustainable and organic products. “My primary education and experiences have focused around research to find and implement sustainable programs that increase agricultural production more efficiently,” said Glover. “My interest is finding ways to better utilize natural resources that ultimately assist in providing increases to the world’s food supply. When I learned of Monty’s research in humics and biologicals, I was very interested in working with their team to bring their technologies and applications to other countries.”

Dr. Glover was born in Ghana, and has lived and worked in Cuba, Italy, Germany, Jamaica, and Mexico. He has a Masters’ degree in Agricultural Engineering from Universidad Agraria de la Habana in Cuba, and another in Quality Control of Agricultural Produce from Georg-August-Universität Göttingen in Germany. He also has a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn in Germany. In addition to his degrees and experiences, he is fluent in English, Spanish, German, EWE, TWI, GA (three African languages), and reads and understands Italian and Portuguese.

“We welcome Dr. Glover and his wife and look forward to the expertise and experiences in agricultural science that he brings to the Monty’s team,” said Monty’s CEO, Kevin Voss. “We look forward to expanding Monty’s technologies that can benefit the environment and increase grower production.”
