Monty’s introduces K28 Liquid Potash

K28 JugLiquid Potash, designed to address potassium deficiencies in crops and assist growers in getting the highest yields possible. Monty’s nearly pH balanced formula can be applied 2×2 at planting and safely added to nitrogen solutions as well as most herbicides and fungicides for foliar application.

“Potassium deficiencies, often evidenced by the yellowing and wilting of leaves, are common in crops during the early stages of growth,” said Dennis Stephens, President of Monty’s Plant Food. “With K28, we are able to offer growers a product that helps with the regulation and uptake of water within plants, as well as the activation of growth related enzymes in plants.”

While potash deficiencies might cause lower yields in all plants, the look of malnutrition depends on the crop. For example, corn will wilt or yellow while soybeans will become yellow or simply have slow growth. Regardless of the crop, however, compacted, sandy or wet soils are likely to see potash deficiencies as well.

“High yielding crop producers do not wait to witness these potash deficiencies in their crop,” said Stephens. “They use the Monty’s K28 as a proactive approach to maintaining the highest yields from start to finish.”
